UN Backs Divestment!
“Everything we do is based on science and the science is pretty clear that we need a world with a lot less fossil fuels,” Nuttall told the Guardian. “We have lent our own moral authority as the UN to those groups or organisations who are divesting. We are saying ‘we support your aims and ambitions because they are fairly and squarely our ambition’.”

On Sunday, December 7, around the world people from diverse faith and spiritual communities will gather for public vigils in support of global climate action. When world leaders come together in Lima for critical climate talks, they need to know that we’re holding them in our thoughts, meditations and prayers.
Join us in Ottawa & Toronto! All are welcome.
- Citizens for Public Justice and Faith & the Common Good will co-host a #LightForLIMA vigil in Ottawa @ 7pm. For details, click here.
- Toronto Area Interfaith Council & Awakening Heart Circle will co-host an interspiritual Festival of Lights and #LightForLIMA vigil in Toronto @ 1:30pm. For details, click here.

Can’t join us for one of these vigils? No problem, you can still take part. Each evening from December 1-7, households and communities around the world will light a candle, or solar lamp, and pray, meditate, or offer an invocation for a climate agreement. Take a photo of your vigil, post it on Facebook or Twitter with #LightForLIMA along with your hopes for the future.
Our digital vigils will tell politicians that people around the world, are watching and praying for action. And the time to act is now.
